The Annual Warrior Survey from Wounded Warrior Project helps shape WWP’s programs and services for post-9/11 wounded warriors. As the largest, most comprehensive survey of wounded post-9/11 veterans, it gives warriors a platform to express concerns, voice their needs, and share their successes — ensuring that their voices never fall silent. Warriors Hike 17 Miles to Raise Awareness for Veteran Suicide
During the week of Veterans Day, warriors hiked 17 miles to raise awareness for veteran suicide. 17 signifies the number of veterans that take their lives every day. According to WWP's Annual Warrior Survey, nearly 1 in 4 post-9/11 wounded veterans registered with the nonprofit had suicidal thoughts in the past 12 months. Our mission is to offer hope and healing to these veterans.
A Long-Awaited Victory for Veterans: Honoring Our PACT Act
At a White House ceremony Aug. 10, Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) applauded President Joe Biden's signing of the SFC Heath Robinson Honoring Our PACT Act. The legislation will guarantee care and benefits for veterans who suffer the ill effects of their exposure to burn pits and other toxins while serving America.
WWP Honor Our PACT Act News Conference
Exposure to burn pits and other environmental hazards is a serious health issue for many post-9/11 veterans. More than 3 million post-9/11 veterans were potentially exposed to toxic substances during overseas deployments. Now, far too many of them are developing cancers, autoimmune disorders, skin diseases, respiratory illnesses, and other conditions. We strongly support the Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act. This important legislation will give veterans access to the health care and benefits they have earned through their service to our nation.

Wounded Warrior Project’s Annual Warrior Survey is the largest, most comprehensive survey of post-9/11 wounded veterans. Its findings help policymakers, veterans service organizations, and the health care community support the needs of wounded warriors. The survey tells us about the well-being of WWP warriors and allows us to track their mental, physical, and financial health.
Soldier Ride Miami-Key West 2022
Soldier Ride is a unique, multi-day riding event that helps warriors build their confidence and strength through shared physical activities and bonds of service in a supportive environment. The program incorporates skill-building practices that accommodate all ability levels. Warriors never ride alone; they move forward together, as a unit, just as they did during their military service. Check out this video as a group of more than 40 warriors rode through different cities in south Florida.
Wounded Warrior Project Helps Family Find Independence
Janice Huss is a caregiver for her son Morgan after he was injured while serving our country. The young Army veteran had suffered a heart attack and seizures because of a previously unknown medical condition. A lack of oxygen led to an anoxic brain injury. Janice then connected with Wounded Warrior Project’s Independence Program which helps warriors, like Morgan, who face a lifetime relying on the help of caregivers for everyday tasks.
Invisible Wounds of War: A Veteran Documentary
Warrior Nick Morrison's Humvee was hit by improvised explosive devices on two separate occasions while he was deployed to Iraq with the U.S. Marine Corps. But it was the one that blew up a vehicle he wasn't in that he blames for the severity of his post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and survivor's guilt.
