Celebrating 20 Years of Making an Impact

In 2003 WWP started by providing support and comfort to wounded service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with backpacks filled with personal care items to their hospital bedsides. Every step of progress we've made since is possible thanks to the determination of warriors, their families, our WWP teammates, and generous community support. Here are a few of the milestones we've accomplished over the years.

2022 Annual Warrior Survey Results

The Annual Warrior Survey from Wounded Warrior Project helps shape WWP’s programs and services for post-9/11 wounded warriors. These veterans continue to face challenges mentally, physically, and financially. As the largest, most comprehensive survey of wounded post-9/11 veterans, it gives warriors a platform to express concerns, voice their needs, and share their successes — ensuring that their voices never fall silent. This video highlights some of the key findings of the 2022 Annual Warrior Survey.

A Long-Awaited Victory for Veterans: Honoring Our PACT Act

At a White House ceremony Aug. 10, Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) applauded President Joe Biden's signing of the SFC Heath Robinson Honoring Our PACT Act. The legislation will guarantee care and benefits for veterans who suffer the ill effects of their exposure to burn pits and other toxins while serving America.

2022 Rusty Baggett Peer Leader of the Year Award

New Orleans Saints wide receiver, Marquez Callaway, surprises warrior Diana Bourgeois with the news that she is Wounded Warrior Project's Rusty Baggett Peer Support Leader of the Year.

Soldier Ride Miami-Key West 2022

Soldier Ride is a unique, multi-day riding event that helps warriors build their confidence and strength through shared physical activities and bonds of service in a supportive environment. The program incorporates skill-building practices that accommodate all ability levels. Warriors never ride alone; they move forward together, as a unit, just as they did during their military service. Check out this video as a group of more than 40 warriors rode through different cities in south Florida.
