Government Affairs Director
Brian Dempsey serves as the director of Government Affairs for Wounded Warrior Project. In this role, he oversees a team of professionals specializing in lobbying and public policy analysis. He also manages WWP’s engagements with the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Defense, veterans service organizations, and other key community stakeholders.
Prior to joining WWP in 2016, Brian was an attorney advisor for the Board of Veterans' Appeals. Brian’s government affairs career also spans positions in the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, and the North Carolina General Assembly.
Brian holds a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami.
He was born and raised in the great state of New Jersey and currently resides in Washington, DC.
