The Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act
And What It Means for You
President Biden has signed into law The Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act. This new law is the largest expansion of VA services since the PACT Act. It addresses a number of issues that Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) has long advocated for through congressional hearings, meetings, and our annual fly-in events in Washington, DC.
What does the Bill Include?
The new law includes proposals that enhance and reform the delivery of services at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) by prioritizing veterans, their families, their caregivers, and their survivors.
WWP™ is beginning to create informational materials about the new law to explain its impact. For now, below is a general overview of some key provisions.
Key Sections
Thank you to all the warriors who sent messages of support to their representatives. WWP is also grateful to the many members of Congress who came together in a bipartisan fashion to develop and pass the Dole Act and to all the veterans service organizations that WWP worked with to advocate for the bill’s passage.
