Wounded Warrior Project "Coaches" Support Youth In The Veteran LDRSHIP Beach Challenge 2016
For many wounded warriors, mentorship doesn't stop with their fellow injured veterans. These combat veterans also find purpose in using their military training and leadership skills to not only aid in their personal recovery, but to also help instill values of honor and integrity in our youth. That's what the Veteran LDRSHIP Beach Challenge was all about.
Thanks to a partnership between Wounded Warrior Project® and City Streets to Student Athletes, the bonding opportunity required students ages 13 to 18 to participate in a challenge course at Jacksonville Beach, with Wounded Warrior Project "coaches" offering encouragement, support, and connection along the way.
