Wounded Warrior Project Applauds VA on Decision to Halt Interim Final Rule

WASHINGTON, Feb. 20, 2026 – Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) has issued the following statement on the decision of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to halt enforcement of its interim final rule, Evaluative Rating: Impact of Medication.
"WWP™ is encouraged by Secretary of Veterans Affairs Collins’ decision to halt enforcement of the interim final rule regarding disability claims and medication. Like VA, we also heard concerns about the rule from the warriors we serve. We are grateful that VA listened to the feedback of the veteran community and adjusted its course.
"WWP looks forward to our continued work with VA and the entire veteran and military community to help warriors, their families, and caregivers thrive for a lifetime. Together, we must keep our promise to be there for every warrior, no matter what."
