WWP Stands Ready to Serve

January 9, 2020

Since 2003, Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) has been improving the lives of millions of warriors and their families. Today, we remain ready to meet the needs of any wounded, ill, or injured service member returning from the Middle East, or any of the 170 countries where the United States has troops deployed. When these men and women take off their uniforms and return to the communities they call home, our solemn commitment is to help in their recovery and rehabilitation, and assist them in achieving their highest ambition. It is our first, and highest priority.

Our mission begins the moment a service member is injured. We have a permanent presence in Germany, at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC), where the critically wounded are sent for life-sustaining care. WWP also provides critical support at military medical centers in the United States and others worldwide.

Through the help of our millions of supporters, WWP has built an organization that provides the highest quality programs and services to meet a warrior’s evolving needs over time. From crucial mental health services to long-term rehabilitative care, WWP supports these men, women, and their families beginning with their injury or illness, and progressing throughout their transition to civilian life.
