National Alumni Director

Dan Schnock joined Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) in 2011 and serves as national alumni director.

In this role, he oversees the operation of the Alumni team, which interacts daily with wounded service members, veterans, and their families. The team provides education on WWP programs to our population and for outreach to the general public.  The team's main goal is to facilitate events and opportunities for wounded veterans and their families to build camaraderie.

With 37 years of leadership and executive management experience in the United States Army and at Wounded Warrior Project, and demonstrated success in logistics, personnel management, public speaking, and operations, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge to the WWP team.

Dan started his career as an Army lieutenant. Having held numerous positions, including aide-de-camp, military instructor, and operations officer, Dan has had the honor of commanding and leading at all levels of the Army. He deployed numerous times and culminated his military career as the U.S. military exchange officer in Albury/Wodonga, Australia.

Dan holds a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Military Institute and two advanced degrees — a master’s in education from the University of Louisville and a master’s in military operations and tactics from the U.S. Air Force Command College.

He and his wife live with their two children in Ponte Vedra, Florida.

Dan connects, serves, and empowers warriors in his role as national alumni director.
