The path to recovery for wounded veterans can be full of trial and error before they find success in their transition. In the process, each warrior has to not only identify his or her own personal challenges, but also determine the very best way to cope with and manage them. From music to painting to biking, the avenues to healing are numerous, but veterans can still find freedom -- and fun -- along the way.
These segments from KRDO show how Wounded Warrior Project® veterans connected to find paths to calm and peace that only seem different on the surface: fitness and gardening. Warriors tested their mettle with a series of physical challenges that brought back memories of basic training and discovered how having a green thumb can support well-being.
